Independent calibration
In-network dosing efficacy calibration & dose tracing

Who this is for
Sewer network operators, commissioning engineers and maintenance teams
Your operating priority
Understand where chemistry is consumed and whether the equipment delivers the intended dose, regardless of chemical supplier.
Before you specify or buy
Bring dose histories, network travel conditions and pump details. Calibration and reporting can use your chemistry or another supplier’s; separate delivery faults from chemical demand before changing products or increasing dose.

Manhole and wet-well sampling and calibration work
Access-point set-ups, sample handling and portable water-quality instruments support site investigation. Agree the trace method, delivered-volume checks and response-monitoring locations for the actual network.

Container and hose arrangement beside an access opening. Trace-testing and dosing checks require an agreed method, safe access and recorded quantities.
pH and oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) measurements help interpret water conditions alongside sampling and calibration records.
Sampling at an access opening. Inspection and trace-testing scope must include safe access and agreed sample locations.
Water-quality sampling at a grated wet-well access point, with portable instruments and sample handling equipment.
What is covered
- Map dose delivery and trace product movement through the relevant network.
- Identify consumption patterns and candidate reset points using available data and field observations.
- Calibrate dosing equipment and document agreed settings and observed performance, independent of chemical supplier.
- Recovery support for dosing equipment can be scoped alongside calibration.
What we will ask you
- Network layout, dosing points and operating schedule
- Product identity, dose records and equipment details
- Monitoring data and observed changes along the network

Frequently asked questions
- What is the difference between pump calibration and in-network dosing efficacy calibration?
- Pump calibration checks actual delivered chemical volume against the equipment setting. In-network efficacy assessment also considers where treatment persists or is consumed and how downstream pH, sulphide or H₂S respond under comparable conditions. Correct pump delivery alone does not establish effective network treatment.
- What does dose tracing establish?
- It follows the dosed product through the relevant network to understand where it is consumed and where settings may need review.
- Do we need to buy Critical Elixirs chemistry to use this service?
- No. Calibration and performance reporting can be scoped for an existing system using chemistry supplied by another provider, subject to access, available data and an agreed scope.
- Can you repair or recover an existing station?
- Calibration and recovery support can be scoped after reviewing the equipment, fault and site access.
